Challenge
Good roomates and rooms to rent are hard to find and even harder to keep. How might we connect rooms for rent with prospective renters in a way that promotes compatibility, honesty and safety?

Brand

Renter looking for a space to rent includes local recommendations based on GPS and preferences, comprehensive room details and specialty tags like “natural light” and “hardwood” as well as 360 views of the space created by landlords using Panoramic. Renters also get a profile of the people they will live with to get a better idea of compatibility, messaging and contract exchange.
Landlords looking to fill a room after creating a strong profile will be notified of potential interest from renters and can review the renters profile, see social media and get an idea of potential lifestyle and interests. After messaging and meeting, the landlord can issue a basic peer-to-peer renters agreement to protect both parties.
Prototyping
Onboarding, browsing, and finding a room to rent.
Prototyping
Listing a room, browsing interested renters.
Gathering Feedback from Users
After passing the prototype off for feedback, I learned that users would look up profiles on social media to identify mutual friends. A friend vouching for someone goes a long way and solves for a lot of anxiety for both parties.
